Petrea is the owner of Birdie and Lace Boutique, a ladies' boutique created with the community in mind, ensuring that local women have access to stylish fashion without the need to shop out of town. As the owner, she manages all day-to-day operations, from overseeing the shop floor to handling the behind-the-scenes aspects like website management and customer relationship building.

Petrea is deeply committed to empowering rural women. She regularly hosts networking nights for local businesswomen, inviting niche business owners to share their expertise and inspire others. Her passion for supporting women extends beyond her boutique, as she serves on the RRR Women board, advocating for the needs and interests of rural, regional, and remote women. Additionally, Petrea, alongside her husband, is involved in the agricultural sector, where they run several businesses.
